The Executive Committee Member of Banco Nacional de Comércio de Timor-Leste (BNCTL), S.A., Joaquim dos Reis Martins, participated in the Dili International Trade Expo to present the bank’s position regarding Financial and Economic Prospects in Timor-Leste, with a particular focus on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

The purpose of this presentation was to highlight BNCTL’s commitment to promoting the development of MSMEs in Timor-Leste, as they constitute the backbone of the national economy, contribute to job creation and GDP growth, and strengthen the local economy. In this regard, BNCTL continues to make efforts and develop strategies to design products and services tailored to MSME development, streamline credit processes, establish partnerships with the government and the private sector, provide flexible financial solutions, and above all expand financial services to remote areas.

At the venue, BNCTL also provided services such as account opening, Internet/Mobile Banking registration, issuance of new UnionPay cards, and updating customer data for participants who do not have the time to visit the bank’s branches.

The event, held at the Dili Convention Center (CCD), was also attended by Vice Presidents, members of the BNCTL Board of Directors, and technical staff of the institution.
