Viqueque, 15 October 2025 – The Banco Nacional de Comércio de Timor-Leste (BNCTL), S.A., reinforces its commitment to financial inclusion by conducting a dissemination session on its banking products and services for municipal staff, students, and the local community in the municipality of Viqueque.
The outreach activity, organized by the Business Planning and Commercialization Division (PNK), aimed to bring BNCTL closer to the local community, share information about the financial system, and promote banking literacy. Various services were introduced, including opening BNCTL accounts, deposits, loans, transfers, digital services (Internet/Mobile Banking, SMS Alert), banking agents, and the new UnionPay International (UPI) card, among others.
During the session, participants showed great interest and actively engaged by asking questions related to credit access, BNCTL account facilities, the use of digital applications, and the challenges they face in daily life. At the same time, the BNCTL team provided direct assistance to those interested in registering for Internet/Mobile Banking services.
This outreach activity is part of BNCTL’s strategic plan to strengthen community trust in the national financial system and ensure that all Timorese have access to safe, modern, and affordable banking services.
