BNCTL STRENGTHENS FINANCIAL LITERACY THROUGH SOCIALIZATION OF BANKING PRODUCTS AND SERVICES IN ERMERA

The National Commercial Bank of Timor-Leste (BNCTL), S.A., through its Business Planning and Commercialization Division (PNK), held a socialization session on Thursday, 30 October, about banking products and services for municipal staff in Ermera Municipality.

 

The objective of this activity was to share information related to the bank’s products, such as credit, deposits, types of accounts, and digital services including Internet/Mobile Banking, SMS Alert, mobile services, remittance services, banking agents, social services, and others.

 

In his remarks, the President of Ermera Municipal Authority, Mr. José Martinho dos Santos Soares, expressed his appreciation to BNCTL and its team for their initiative to disseminate information about the bank’s products and services to municipal employees.

 

During the session, participants showed great interest and engagement by raising questions related to credit access, account facilities at BNCTL, use of digital applications, and the challenges they face. On the other hand, the team also provided on-the-spot assistance for participants who wished to register for Internet/Mobile Banking.

 

This socialization activity is part of BNCTL’s strategic plan to strengthen community trust in the national financial system and ensure that all Timorese have access to secure, modern, and inclusive banking services.
