BNCTL CONDUCTS BANKING AWARENESS SESSION FOR WORKERS THAT IS GOING TO GO TO AUSTRALIA

Dili, May 8, 2025 – The National Bank of Commerce of Timor-Leste (BNCTL), through the Business Planning and Marketing Division (PNC), represented by the Marketing team, held a socialization session on the bank's products and services for 84 Timorese candidates participating in the Pre-Departure Orientation Session (Pre-Departure Briefing – PDB) for employment in Australia.

The objective of this activity was to share information about the bank's products and services, such as credit and deposit services, opening bank accounts, registering for digital banking services (Internet/Mobile Banking), and more.

Additionally, the activity aimed to raise awareness among workers about the importance of depositing their earnings into a BNCTL account while working abroad, so that upon their return to Timor-Leste, they can better manage their finances. During the session, the BNCTL team also directly assisted candidates with opening bank accounts and registering for Internet Banking.

This outreach activity is part of the ongoing cooperation between the State Secretariat for Professional Training and Employment (SEFOPE) and BNCTL, which aims to support Timorese workers who are preparing to work abroad.
